Y’s is designer Yohji Yamamoto’s very first brand, and to this day it bears his vision and philosophy. The concept at the root of the brand is women wearing men’s clothing, and Y’s creates pieces for independent women who value their own timeless vision. Each piece of functional, refined everyday wear in the brand’s unique clothing category is shaped by universal values and unique pattern-making techniques. The brand values the importance of “the space between the garment and the body” to emphasize airiness, volume, and balance, employing careful cutting and meticulous selection of materials to achieve a refined silhouette.
