G-SHOCK releases a new premium lineup of the original DW-5000C. Crafted with a premium and durable metal material, completed to a sleek finish. These new MRG-B5000 models feature an intricately shaped bezel made up of 25 parts that were individually polished to a high degree.

A new shock-resistant multi-guard structure increases strength by using stainless steel leaf springs and silicon between bezel parts. The case and bezel are made of high-hardness Ti64 titanium alloy, and the band is made of DAT55G titanium alloy, which is approximately three times harder than pure titanium and which provides excellent workability. The top of the bezel is made using the cobalt alloy COBARION®, which is approximately four times harder than pure titanium and has the same brilliance as platinum.

The MRG-B5000B model enhances the mirror finish of the COBARION® material by adding a glossy finish with a black DLC (diamond-like carbon) in the image of the original black DW-5000C.  The MRG-B5000D model has a hairline and mirror finish in a beautiful silver color produced by a titanium carbide coating. Both models have a brick pattern and a red line for the frame around the digital display, which are identifying characteristics of the original DW-5000C. Function-wise, both of these models are equipped with time signal reception and Bluetooth® communication capabilities for smartphone connectivity. These models also feature a special-purpose MR-G module with gold-plated circuit retainer plates.
